Throughout my time in the "Buffy" community, I have communicated with some truly lovely and talented folks. The most recent of which being the super sweet UK based artist Heather Gates who has very kindly allowed me to write about her work.
Heather's aesthetic is nothing short of excellent; every single one of her pieces boldly stand out in one way or another. Much of her art is nature-based, including butterflies and birds, though she implements many themes across her work and she experiments with different mediums. As we met in a BTVS group, I would like to especially bring some attention to her stellar "Buffy" art work:

The above piece is a superb portrait of Drusilla where half of her face is human and the other half is vamped up. The striking attention to detail is brilliant!
Here we have Angel, Buffy and Spike. It is a gorgeous, light drawing and Heather has captured the textures excellently. I especially love how lustrous Buffy's hair looks and how cheeky Spike's eyes are.
The final "Buffy" piece I wanted to showcase is Willow at the end of the infamous episode "Seeing Red". Though I love all of Heather's work, this one has to be my favourite. Not only did she successfully draw Alyson's features to perfection, but she also captured the pain and misery in Willow's eyes. The scene is extremely emotional and Heather has brought it to life again!
I mentioned that Heather's talent is not just limited to BTVS art, because she also creates other beautiful pieces. So I decided to include a couple that I particularly enjoyed:

This drawing of owls is beyond adorable. All four of them look so cute and fluffy! Owls are one of my favourite animals so I was super happy when I saw this amongst her photos on Facebook.
Finally, the last piece I am going to feature is this stunning butterfly piece. I cannot get over how vivid and magnificent it looks! The patterns on the wings immediately stand out and it still looks sublime from a distance.
Heather's art is all very affordable and in my opinion, it is completely worth the price. She truly does pay a huge amount of attention to detail and all of her pieces stand out. Once again, I would like to thank her for allowing me to feature her glorious art on my blog, I am truly honoured!
